Beautiful Beaches in Greece

Outside is freezing and Skopje is making headlines as the most polluted city in the world. I had to fight the depression of being stuck in this city of fog and smog by browsing through my favorite summer adventures. Obviously, I found lots and lots of photos of beautiful beaches all around the world; so, I thought why not share some of them with my lovely readers in a photo essay.

Read Top 5 Beaches in Chalkidiki, Greece

Honestly, I didn’t even know that photo essays existed not long ago, but now I enjoy them very much. I enjoy reading (looking at) them as well as I enjoy making them. Therefore, my random treat for this week is photos of sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters that will make you wish it was summer already!

View at Porto Carras Sithonia Hotel.
From the balcony at Porto Carras Sithonia Hotel.

You get a stunning view when you pay for a sea-view room at the Porto Carras Sithonia Resort in Sithonia, Chalkidiki. This is one of my favorite places in Greece and this marvelous beach certainly plays a role. I’ll admit the photo doesn’t do it justice, but hopefully, I’ll go there again soon and update my photos of the resort.

Alexandra Beach on the island Thasos, Greece
Thasos, Greece

Luckily for my explorer’s spirit, at least at the time of my visit, the Hotel Alexandra Beach on the island Thasos allowed outsiders to walk around its grounds and enjoy its gorgeous beach . You’ll never want to get out of the crystal-clear waters of the sea , but you’ll also feel tempted to sip a cocktail while relaxing on the sand.

Beach at the Alexander the Great Hotel
Alexander the Great Beach

I’m really sorry my smartphone camera has failed you so many times, but even in a poor-quality photo, you can spot the marvelousness of this beach. It’s situated just below the Alexander the Great Hotel in Chalkidiki and you can get to it on foot or by using the hotel’s special elevator. Cool, right?

Beach toward Castle of Platamonas

Honestly, I have no idea what was the name of this beach. I was randomly driving around and exploring with a friend when we stopped to enjoy the view and spotted this secret gem. It seemed like a beach bar, which, unfortunately, wasn’t open at the time of our visit. If I remember correctly, this is somewhere in the Pieria region; going toward Castle of Platamonas.

Sunset at Olympic Beach, which is a blue flag beach
The Blue Flag Olympic Beach

Well, I must admit that the beach in Olympic Beach isn’t usually as empty and attractive. During the high season, it’s packed with kids and donuts sellers dressed as Spiderman. However, the sky did its trick and helped me capture a wonderful photograph. I sure would enjoy spending my summer nights here, wouldn’t you too?

The wonderful beach at Assa Maris Bomo Club in Sithonia, Chalkidiki, Greece
Assa Maris Bomo Club Beach

It seems that I carry two curses; the first one is not to have the appropriate camera with me when I need it the most and the second is to visit beautiful beaches when it’s windy outside. Nevertheless, [clickToTweet tweet=”the Assa Marris Hotel beach managed to steal my heart. #travel #summer #greece” quote=”the Assa Marris Hotel beach managed to steal my heart.”] The water was so clear I could just endlessly gaze into it; plus, the sand was golden and warm that it filled my heart with joy.

The crystal-clear sea at Pallini Beach Hotel

Booking the first-row bungalow at the Pallini Beach Hotel in Chalkidiki probably won’t give you the luxurious accommodation you’ve been expecting to get; nonetheless, it will give you unforgettable sunsets and views worth overpaying for. The water was so clean and clear that I very much enjoyed diving into it carelessly.

Lagomandara Beach in Sithonia, Greece.
Lagomandara Beach

Anyone that visited the second finger of the Chalkidiki peninsula has probably heard about the famous Lagomandara Beach. I’m telling you, it’s no lie that this is a true gem of nature. With golden sand and water as clear as tears, this is where you can forget all your worries.

Concluding Thoughts

That’s it for now guys. I think this is more than enough for you to start planning your summer vacation already or book a trip somewhere warm already. I know I can recommend Punta Cana, where I had a dream vacation with my family.

I love this! So often, I especially get lost in the history aspect that Greece offers. Planning to visit the Parthenon or the ancient temples, but I never realized how beautiful the coast of Greece is. It is beautiful! And looks like something to make time for when planning a visit!

The coast has a lot of historical landmarks, as you said it is very beautiful. I loved Petralona Cave (not very expensive to visit either) and the Pozar Lautraki hot springs. I hope to go to Meteora in the summer.
