Coffee is a trendy beverage that is loved by many. It is exceptionally versatile and can be combined with different flavors that appeal to any coffee lover’s palate. If you want to see the world, the worldwide prevalence of coffee makes it the perfect brew to seek out during your travels. You can combine the production of this drink with your common interests, such as the environment, different cultures, and history.

You also get the opportunity to compare the unique flavors with your favorite concoctions at home. If you would like to explore the coffee culture around the world, here are seven coffee-inspired destinations you must visit.

1. Columbia

The Coffee Triangle is a coffee-growing district found in Columbia. Some of the finest coffee plants can be seen thriving on the luscious slopes of the Andes. Tourists have the opportunity to take a look around the grounds. You can even spend a night or two in the dreamlike mountainous surroundings. There are incredible tours, accommodations, and cafes, allowing you to plunge into the world of coffee.

2. Hawaii

Kona coffee is said to have a richer flavor than any other coffee. The coffee beans used for this particular brew are cultivated on Hualalai and Mauna Loa, found on the Big Island’s Western slopes. Recently, Kauai has also started to produce delicious coffee. The Garden Isle is now home to the State’s biggest coffee farm. You don’t often see a Hawaiian coffee farm, and it’s free for visitors to tour.

3. Kenya

If you love nature and you love coffee, then you should consider taking a trip to Kenya. Here, you can choose to explore any of the 56 national parks, go on fantastic safaris, relax on beautiful beaches, and visit Ethiopia, which is where coffee was born. Once you have seen the wildlife, you can look into taking one of the many coffee tours that leave from Nairobi and visit some of the local cafes too.

4. Melbourne

Australia is a popular hot spot for serious travelers, and Melbourne can be the ideal destination for a serious coffee lover. In Melbourne, coffee is a big deal. The Melbourne Coffee Review is the city’s very own coffee publication. They also host their own international coffee expedition annually and have a coffee tour, where you can wander through the city’s deep coffee history and taste the local flavors.

5. Thailand

Thailand is full of fun activities and is one of the world’s top producers of coffee. They also produce one of the most expensive and controversial coffees in the world, Kopi Luwak. This is made from coffee beans obtained from civet cat feces. Production can be cruel, but if you want to try this pricey brew, then visit Kopi Luwak Direct, because their coffee beans only come from free range civets.

6. Vienna

Vienna is the ideal destination for coffee lovers who wouldn’t mind making coffee a part of their European backpacking escapade. UNESCO has made the Viennese coffee houses an ‘Intangible Cultural Heritage’ spot. At 3 pm every day, the city takes part in something called Kaffeejause, which is a tradition where everyone dedicates their time to indulge in delicious coffee and pastries.

7. Seattle

For coffee lovers who are looking for a place to visit closer to home, then they should consider taking a trip to Seattle. The love of coffee in this region is mainly due to the history. The reason it is such a popular hot spot for coffee lovers is that it is home to the first Starbucks. This famous and very popular coffee house chain opened in Seattle in 1971 and has continued to thrive ever since.

Final Word

There are plenty of destinations all over the world for a coffee lover to explore. Fortunately, many of these countries are beautiful. There is a lot for you to see and do during your travels.
