Ultimate 2018 GoPro Accessories
Last year my brother bought me GoPro Hero 5 as an unexpected and incredibly cool birthday present. Ever since I’ve been completely in love with the gadget and, naturally, I’m always looking for some awesome GoPro essentials to boost my experience with the device.
Here are 10 GoPro accessories (Hero 6/Hero 5/Hero4) to own in 2018 for unforgettable adventures.
Chest strap and Head Strap
These two are perfect for those with an active lifestyle; safely strap your GoPro on a chest harness or place it on your head and get incredible footage of all your adventures. Just keep in mind that you’ll need an SD card with lots of storage for all the videos you’ll be able to shoot with your head strap. You can learn how to choose the best SD card for GoPro here. Regardless whether you’re riding a bike across mountains or simply taking a stroll across beautiful towns, both the chest and the head straps will be of immense value.
It really sucks when you can’t take the perfect selfie; however, the GoPro selfie stick takes perfect care of that problem for you. The pole I’m recommending is waterproof and lightweight, has a non-slip rubber grip as well as an adjustable wrist strap. Moreover, it’s extendable, hence you can take the photo or video from the preferred distance every single time.
360 Degree Rotatable Velcro Wrist Arm Strap
This accessory can go both ways really; on one hand, it’s useful if you want to have your GoPro on your arm and be able to control it at all times. On the other hand, it may be a pain to carry it around like that and possibly hit in something as you move. Nonetheless, this is an awesome accessory for when you’re riding bicycles or motorbikes.
Diving Mask with Mount for GoPro Camera
Wow, I got this accessory this winter and unfortunately still had no time to test it; I’m waiting for the summer to finally come and see the results. Nevertheless, I am absolutely sure that I will love it. Previously, I had to use the head strap with a regular mask, but it was somehow far from practical and I wasn’t too happy with the underwater videos; I’m certain this mask will change the underwater game for me.
Diving into the deep and shooting videos with your GoPro is incredibly fun; however, it’s very disappointing to start the video later and see that it’s incredibly bluish and dark and overall unsatisfying. Well, prevent feeling frustrated and sad with these aqua filters that will make your underwater videos and photos perfect and highly likable on the social networks.
Water Repellent & Anti Fog
This one doesn’t need too much of an introduction. Even though it may seem useless, this spray keeps your GoPro glass dry and clear during wet adventures. Therefore, if you use it while you surf, swim and so on, all the photos and videos will be majestic instead of ruined by water drops or fog.
Camera Battery Charger
Everyone knows that the main problem to every adventurer out there is lack of power. Luckily for GoPro fans, we can now buy battery chargers that can charge up to three separate batteries at the same time; this means that you will always be ready with fully charged spare batteries and you won’t ever miss a shot.
This one’s quite cool, even though not my first choice. Actually, my travel partner Milena always talks about this accessory since she often wears baseball hats anyway. I’d say this is like the perfect fashion accessory for GoPro fans that can have sun protection and their camera firmly mounted on their forehead.
Regardless whether you go for a flexible tripod that can be mounted almost anywhere or for an extendible aluminum tripod that requires firm floor, you will not make a mistake. Maybe even you should go for the both since they are very useful in different situations. Either way, a tripod is a must-have accessory for GoPro owners as it lets them take perfectly clear photos, still videos and breathtaking time lapses.
The last but not the least, the car suction cup is perfect for those that enjoy going on road trips. This can actually be placed on any glass surface, so you may even use it on home windows and glass doors to shoot videos of people that don’t know how to park or marvelous sunsets from hotel rooms.
Well, my dear, those are the accessories I either own and love or love to own. Each one of these will make your GoPro adventure much better than before when you had to invent ways to place the camera appropriately or prevent water drops from ruining your images.
Naturally, I would love to know other suggestions, so feel free to include your favorite GoPro accessories in a comment.
