Exploring Italy

Regardless of whether you’re a backpacker or someone who plans to take their family for a fantastic vacation, Italy has a lot to offer to everyone. The country is home to some of the most impressive ruins from the Roman Empire, and it’s also where you will find some of the world’s best fashion designers.

If you want to visit Italy this summer, it is crucial that you conduct some online research before planning your itinerary.

That is the best way to guarantee you don’t overlook any of the most desirable locations. The cities mentioned in this post are some of the most stunning in the entire country. So, don’t miss them out!

Visiting Rome

Most people choose to fly to Rome as it has one of the largest airports in the country. So, there is a reasonable chance your Italian vacation will begin here. That said, sometimes it’s sensible to book your accommodation in the surrounding towns.

People who visit Rome should make sure they go to see all the ancient ruins the city has to offer. They include the world-famous Colosseum amongst other sites. It’s possible to arrange sightseeing tours where you can visit all the critical areas with other foreign people.

That is usually the best option on the table because you won’t have to stress about hiring a car or making travel arrangements. You’ll also benefit from price reductions for entry.

Visiting Florence

Florence is the capital city of Italy’s Tuscany region. It’s in the middle of the country, and it’s one of the most upmarket cities you’re going to find in Italy. Lots of wealthy and influential people have second-homes there, and there are hundreds of luxury hotels if you want to pamper yourself.

Florence food is known around the world for being some of the most delicious cuisines in existence, and so you will want to book tables at a different restaurant every night. There are also street food markets if you get hungry during the day, but you might want to arrange a tour if you plan to visit those as many of the vendors do not speak English.

Visiting Milan

For the fashion lovers out there, Milan is an essential stop on any Italian adventure. Gucci, Armani, and many other brands have their HQs here, and there are hundreds of stores selling the latest lines that are not yet available outside of the country. So, you will have the opportunity to purchase some of next summer’s fashions this year. You will also save a small fortune because the prices are much lower when you visit Milan than when you buy online or visit stores in your home country.

Now you know which Italian cities to visit this summer during your trip; it’s time to start putting all the arrangements in place. If you need to cut back on spending during the adventure, consider researching Italy’s public transport system.

It is possible to get to each of the cities mentioned on this page via bus or train, but you’ll need to become familiar with the process to ensure you feel confident and avoid ending up in the wrong place. Whatever you decide, don’t forget to take your camera!
