What to pack for your beach vacation
Sun and sand top the list of favorite summer vacations. But it’s hard to feel fully free when you’re dragging too much stuff around. Let other people sweat the small stuff, and streamline your list of hot weather must-haves so you look cool, even when the temperature isn’t. Beach trips can be a snap if you have a system and know what to bring.
Whether you are flying or driving to your next sunny beach vacation, a carry-on is just the right sized piece of luggage to keep your packing simple and easy to manage. In fact, packing the basics can be as rewarding as it is challenging. But part of taking a vacation is to escape the ordinary. Here’s what to pack for the beach without overpacking.
You’re heading to the beach so obviously the number one thing you need is a swimsuit! It’s better to travel with at least two different swimsuits so that you know you always have an extra dry one on hand. So if you’re planning to go surfing, bodyboarding, kitesurfing, or play beach volleyball and want to make sure your stay is intact, pack some of these. For men, one to two is a good number of swimsuits to travel to the beach with as well.
Skin cancer is for real! Don’t forget your SPF when traveling to the beach. It is recommended to order some online before leaving the house as you’ll pay high prices for low-quality sunblocks once you’re at your beach destination.
It is highly recommended getting an eco-friendly sun cream that does not contain harmful chemicals and protects your skin from the harmful radiation of the sun.
A camera is one of the functional gadgets that you could pack along. Don’t risk bringing a fancy camera to the beach and getting sand in it. Or even worse, water. Get a camera that’s waterproof and you are good with clicking the perfect picture with your besties. Just make sure to attach it to a wrist strap so it doesn’t get lost!. You can always consider a floaty case to help loss prevention.
Carry first aid box
Being on the beach is really fun, but emergencies can arise anywhere. So bring along a first aid box to stay ahead of the game. Be it the bruises, cuts or scrapes, nothing should stop you from having fun. A neat box with all the essential medicines is a good way.
Carry zip-lock bags
Are you worried about your electronic devices or cash getting wet every time you go to the beach? Don’t worry since ziplock plastic bags are here for your rescue! Carry your valuables inside a zip-lock bag and it won’t get soaked or even sandy again.
Plus it’s also handy to keep a couple of them along and make your experience free from hassle.
Carry some extra clothes in a beach bag
One of the most important things to remember while traveling to a beach destination is that you should carry some extra clothes. At the end of the day, you really don’t want to stay in those wet clothes, right? Change in a public restroom and keep your wet clothes in a beach bag to avoid any unnecessary hassle.
It’s better to go with a portable Bluetooth speaker when you are out on the beach. This will allow you to hook up to your phone and play your favorite travel songs right from the phone.
