Hotel and Flight Search

Planning a visit to the Oregon Coast? You can either book a hotel or you can book a vacation home. In this post we will tell you why doing the latter is guaranteed to leave you with an authentic experience.

Unlike hotel, holiday homes and cabins are made for families. These rentals provide all the comfort and privacy of a home along with some conveniences of a hotel. You get cleanup services, toiletries, and a friendly face to welcome you when you arrive.

The following are 10 reasons why Oregon Coast cabin rentals are the best option if you are looking for a place to stay near Oregon destinations such as Olivia beach and Lincoln City.

You Get Enough Space for the Entire Family

Hotel rooms usually do not offer enough space for the entire extended family. To make matters worse, hotels cannot guarantee adjacent rooms as they often depend on availability.

Many vacation rentals have 3 to 4 bedrooms, some even more. These are great choices for a large family. These even have common living and dining areas where everyone can spend quality time.

Customer Service That Feels Genuine

Vacation rentals are often run by homeowners who are part of the local community. They often go out of their way to make their guests feel special. They are also much more likely to engage in friendly conversation sharing stories and details about the neighborhood. The customer service in vacations homes thus feels genuine.

Located in Stunning Areas

Staying near amazing locations by your vacation rental lodge – near the beach or lakes in Oregon.

Rental cabins in Oregon are often located right next to the beach or a pristine lake. Rental cabins are also available in the middle of the wilderness that takes you well away from the bustle of the city. They almost always come with an outdoor seating area that offers a great view.

You Get Private Access to Pools, Decks  and Other Amenities

The thing about a lot of the hotel amenities is that you have to share it with the other guests. When was the last time you avoid the hotel pool area because it was already pretty crowded? It happens all the time.

Vacation rentals often have private decks, pools, jacuzzis and other amenities. What’s even better is that you don’t have to share these with strangers.

Most Cabins are Pet-Friendly

Vacation homes and cabins are great to rent when in Oregon to bring your four-legged best friend on your trip.

While there are a lot of pet-friendly hotels in Oregon, there are still many hotels that don’t allow dogs or cats. The fact that many hotels are not open towards furry guests really slims down your choices if you are traveling with a pet.

Vacation homes, on the other hand, have a more open policy towards pets. While they may have some ground rules about cleaning up after pets, most vacation rentals in Oregon are pet-friendly.

Hotel Rooms Do Not Have the Charm of Cabins

There is something quintessentially comforting about renting a wooden cabin with a fireplace located in the woods. Hotel rooms can never live up to the charm and coziness of a traditional wooden cabin.

More Opportunities to Explore the Surrounding Wilderness

Most hotels located in busy streets and tourist hotspots. These locations are usually far from camping sites and hiking trails. While a lot of vacation rentals are located in the city, many are located in remote areas in the wilderness. There are plenty of vacation rentals that are located in and around national parks amidst pristine nature. If want to experience the thrill of living in the woods, check out cabins located near Willamette National Forest.

More Interaction with the Locals

Meet the local community on a simple food shopping trip, and who knows what you will discover.

Forget about calling in room service, when you stay in a vacation home you have enough reasons to go outside. Visit the local market for buying fresh produce or interact with a local to get the direction/review of a restaurant nearby. You will get the opportunity to be a part of the local community.

Enjoy the Convenience of Cooking at Home

When you rent a vacation home you get the freedom to cook at home or eat outside. Vacation homes often come with fully equipped kitchens armed with modern cookware and cooktops.

Head to the local supermarket or visit a farmer’s market to buy freshly caught fish and fresh vegetables to cook up a healthy meal for the entire family.

Vacation Rentals Come Equipped with Washers and Dryers

One of the most frustrating chores when going outside is taking care of all the dirty clothes. Now, hotels have laundry service, but they can be very expensive if used on a regular basis.  Vacation rentals in Oregon usually come equipped with dryers and washers, which you get to wash your clothes for free.
