Camping Gadgets

Camping can be a great way to see more of the world. Whether you are away with friends, going to enjoy a romantic break looking up at the stars, or entertaining kids on a family vacation camping is a fantastic option. It’s cheap, easy and something a little different. It’s also an excellent way of encouraging your group to cut back on technology and enjoy getting back in touch with nature. But, as the world moves forward, so does camping. Gadgets for camping can make the experience easier, more comfortable, safer and more enjoyable. They can even get the most dubious of campers keen to get out there into the wilderness. Here are some of the top gadgets for today’s camper.

A Cooler

Ok, a cooler isn’t exactly a new development, but it is essential for any good camping trip. Use them to store water, food, snacks, and beer. Find a lightweight one if you plan on hiking while you are away, or a large one if you want to stay up drinking around the campfire. Make sure you read reviews, research your options and get one that suits your needs.

A Stove

Another slightly less than modern invention, the camping stove. Yes, you may still want to toast marshmallows over the fire but using a campfire to cook anything else is time-consuming and dangerous. A portable, lightweight stove will let you heat up food and cook meals quickly and safely. These also come in a range of options and let you do anything from heat a can of beans to preparing a three-course meal. You can even get one that will charge your phone and other gadgets. Think about what you want and need and get one that suits. Just make sure you consider size too.

An Inflatable Sofa

Have you ever looked at one of those little fold up chairs that ever camper and fisherman seems to own and thought “that looks so uncomfortable”? Well, then you need an inflatable sofa. Lightweight, portable and easy to blow up an inflatable sofa give you the chance to cuddle up in front of the campfire in comfort and style.

Bluetooth Speakers

Now we’ve all got smartphones; we can have music with us wherever we go. So, you don’t need to worry about packing CDS, or music players. But, you might want to add a little volume. Especially if you are in a group. Waterproof and shockproof Bluetooth speakers are very hard to damage and so perfect for a camping trip.

A Solar Shower

If you’re heading a large resort or campsite, then there will probably be a pretty good shower block for you to use. If not, a solar shower and a privacy screen can be the answer. You can pick a shower up cheaply, and it’ll be much more effective than giving yourself a baby wipe bath each morning.

Camping can be a wonderful way to escape the worries and stresses of everyday life and getting the right gadgets can make it even better. So, why not try some on your next trip?
