Find Your Travel Element

If you’re an enthusiastic admirer of the story of Aang, The Last Airbender from Nickelodeon’s, which tells the tale of the Avatar, a hero destined to control the four elements, you have probably been wondering which is your element. Are you an air nomad, a water tribe bender, a fire maker, or making an earth traveler?

You might have even dipped in Chinese horoscopes to find out what your element in this essential philosophy. But ultimately it can’t replace the power of bending your element into something new and exciting.

While nobody can promise to teach you the art of bending – which one of us doesn’t want to become the next Avatar? – you can certainly have fun with your favorite element in your holiday planning.

Air nomad

Tree house, the air travel element.
Treehouse holidays

The air nomads, by definition, love to live in the heights, on top of an almost inaccessible mountain, unless you’ve got a flying bison like Appa. There’s no colony of lying bison around, but it doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy a trip in the air.

You can find exciting treehouses all around the world from an escape in the Bolt Farm in South Carolina to a Nest Treehouse in the woodland areas of Devon in England.

You can sleep on top of a tree, surrounded by birds and squirrels, and open the curtains to be part of the woodland wildlife.

Water tribe element

If water is your element, you need to find a holiday destination by the sea or the ocean. If you’ve got sailing experience, you’ll love hiring a boat to sail around the coast.

But don’t worry if you’re not a born sailor. There are plenty of water activities such as surf travel adventures, to get you around.

With any luck, you can even find accommodation by the beach to make the most of this calming element. Be careful, though; water amplifies the sunlight, so make sure to use plenty of waterproof sun protection for healthy water fun.

Holiday for a Firelord

If you’ve always had a fascination for fire and the natural heating sources of magical landscapes, you’ll love discovering the dark side of volcano tourism.

With around 600 actives volcanoes in the world and over 50 eruptions every year, you’ve got plenty of choices. Only an 80-minute boat ride from North Island in New Zealand, you can see a small volcano-island that is only 320 meters high.

You will need a gas mask to set foot into this live volcano. Needless to say that it’s the adventure of a lifetime for a Firelord!

Earth traveler

Finally, for the earth bending enthusiast, there is no better alternative than enjoying some of Europe’s oldest and best hiking trails through Italy, Switzerland, and Slovakia.

Don’t forget to get your camping gadgets with you to settle down at night and enjoy the magnificent views around you. Bluetooth speakers and an inflatable sofa are all you need to sit down in the evening after a long day on the track.

In short, when are you taking your elemental holiday?
